Juwon Lawal Confirms Split from Actress Uche Iwuji

The marriage of actress Uche Iwuji and businessman Juwon Lawal has hit the rocks a year after the two said "I Do".There were rumours that the marriage had failed last year but both denied it .

It seems that they have decided to let the 'cat out of the bag' through the publicist of Mr Juwon Lawal as it is stated below:

This should serve as the official statement confirming the end to the marriage formalized on Friday,November 16th 2012 between the CEO of ABD Fuels Plc.Mr Juwon Lawal and actress Uche Iwuji. 

Already the court processes are on to give a legal seal to the separation. 

Mr Lawal was in Europe on a business toure when the story first broke through the media.This was the reason why he could not react appropriately to it ,plus the fact that he felt the even could be redeemed.

Sights & Sounds: 29 year Old Man Rapes a 2-Year Old Girl

The issue that parents should be vigilant and careful of who is with their children and where they are can not be over emphasised .Yet again another paedophile strikes . Find the story below.

An Osogbo Magistrates' Court Osun,on Friday remained a 29 year man ,Akeem Ibrahim,in prison custody for allegedly raping a two year old girl. 

Magistrate Olusola Aliko,who gave the order,directed that the accused be remanded in prison custody due to the magnitude of the offence. 

The Prosecutor ,Insp .Fagboyinbo Abiodun,had told the court that the accused committed the offence on February 2 at about 1.00 pm along Fagi Isale ,Ikirun Area of Osun  

Abiodun said the accused unlawfully had carnal knowledge of the girl. 

 He said the accused contravened section 218 and 222 of the Criminal Code ,Cap 34.Vol 11,of Osun,2003 and 2007. 

Abiodun said he would be charged with assault and rape. 

The Counsel to the accused,Mr Ragenious Uwgu urged the court to grant his client bail in most liberal terms. 

The Magistrate however overruled the bail application and ordered that the accused to be remanded in prison custody,pending formal application for bail. 

He adjourned the case to March 3 for mention.

This is heart wrenching. There are lots of  women out there are looking for children and some people or women decided to abandon the gift from God  by the road side...Dead.

The story below was culled from a national newspaper:

A day old girl was abandoned  at a road side construction site in the Ikorodu roundabout ,Lagos

According to eye witnesses the baby,with placenta and fresh blood ,whose body was wrapped in a lace material,may have been delivered by an unknown woman during the early hours of the day yesterday,and dumped by the road side. 

Passers by who gathered to catch a glimpse of the lifeless body of the baby gave diverse accounts of the incidence. 

While some said, the baby was discovered alive but died before help could come,others maintained that the baby was already dead by the time it was discovered at day break.

Husbands & Wives As Parents What Do We Fail To Teach Our Children

They are the simple moral values that ,we were brought up on that we as parents are failing to teach our children.

Parents are so busy trying to provide the materialistic needs for the children that we fail to provide the moral needs and values. As it is written in the bible, "train up a child the way he will go, so that when he grows up he will not depart from it."

The following are some major values if inculcated into our children they will turn out right:

• Respect for elders and themselves.
• Benefit of hard work by having morning chores at home
• Humility,this is a great virtue in man or child,When one is humble ,he will be exulted. 
• Gratitude by saying thank you and appreciating what has been done for him or her
• Discipline as it said "spare the rod and spoil the child"
• Perseverance so that they will value what ever they have
• Attitude ,based on how they behave with people and handle challenges they experience as grow older
• Speaking the dialect of their origin for example, the Indians though they speak English but they always communicate in their native tongue,wherever they are.
• And Religion-believing in God

Parents have also neglected certain psychological responsibilities,which I stated  here,but now we are going to have an in-depth explanation of what these emotional & psychological responsibilities are.

While I was hitting my teen,my dad called my brothers and I and had a lecture about with us about the difference between a Leader and a Boss.

He said,A Leader leads by example and earns the respect of his counterparts and subordinate while the Boss leads not by example and instills fear into his subordinates and counterparts.That lecture has played an important role in molding me into who I am today.Thank you Dad!

The following are such responsibilities that molds children towards the right path:

• It entails a good relationship with the children so that they can talk to you about anything
• Being a good example to the children
• Listen to the children's body language and what they say when they think you are not there or listening
• Use of foul languages in front of your children,for they pick up bad habits faster than they pick up good ones
• Let them know what you expert from them e.g passing their exams within a certain grade 
• Do not curse the children or judge them, it makes them feel useless to themselves .If they do ,then they might believe what has been said about them and they will strive to be exactly what you have cursed them on for the power of the Tongue has life or death.

Believe it or not Paedophilia is on the increase .It is the apex of perversity in today's society,that pollutes not only the society but the victims especially,who will later merge into the society.

These children could be so scared that they can be dysfunctional.Dysfunctional children grow up to be dysfunctional husbands & wives  and wind up having dysfunctional children,and dysfunctional home.Thereby making it a concentric cycle.

Yes,these beautiful set of twin children's,lives was about to be destroyed forever by Brother Yusuf a neighbour & Akiba his friend.

If the incident is remembered by these children ,it could have adverse effect on them not only as children but also as adults.It is a wonder that the mother of the twin girls did not wait for Brother Yusuf, or track him down immediately she discovered his evil did,he would not have had the opportunity to assault the child /children one more time.

The likelihood that the twin six year old children did not comprehend what they had experienced sheds light on their innocence.At the age six they were defiled by the Brother Yusufu who is probably old enough to be their father.

Oprah Winfrey,the Queen of talk shows said, she was assaulted sexually by a family member of her's,when she only nine years old,she said she had not seen him or spoken to since the incident, but after she started her show,she decided to give him a call .Only for him to tell her that ,he did not want to talk to her about the incident ,that he was married with kids now .He did not even apologise to the little girl in Oprah Winfrey that he defiled to give her closure and facilitate the healing process for her as an adult.How insensitive is that!

It is so disheartening that, this is happening to our jewels every day.Parents lets be very vigilant and talk to our children about the private parts of their body as young as four or five years old ,and delve into details as they grow older.As the world is evolving and children are exposed to all ,manners of people and things.So that the Brother Yusufus of the world will not steal the innocence of  our children.

Recently,I stumbled on a post that stated that men should protect their wives and care for them.Naturally a woman,based on the motherly instinct she possesses,she can detect when something is wrong with her husband or children.

However when it comes to herself she feels that she is super woman and that she is invincible,and could pay less attention to caring for herself.

As much as the woman does the caring ,sharing and running of things in the house,it is paramount to note that as a woman yes you are strong but you are human!

It is very important to listen to your body ,when you are tired,rest,a cat nap could do wonders for to the body.When you feel a headache, take a panadol or a pain killer but if it persist go to your doctor.

There have been cases of women who go in for their routine check up because they feel pain in a particular region and the doctor will have to have them admitted in the hospital and if they had not gone in for check up it could have been fatal.

A situation where she can be stubborn and really pay less attention to herself,especially if she is a workaholic then the husband or children need to call wife and mother to order.

Please note that it is vital to the woman 's well being that she takes care of herself as much as she does take care of her family& home .The Woman should love herself as much as she loves her husband and children and the husband and children should care for her as much as she does care for them.

Valentine Day,To Love or Not To Love?

This Valentine 'ehhn' is going to be so 'gengen' meaning It is going to be interesting.

However interesting and romantic it will be for people ,an interesting question was thrown recently in a round table discussion with my friends and it goes like this.

(a)Would you rather have your husband or wife be a tyrant,intolerable,mean and horrible to the spouse through out 365 days in a year but be a romantic angel on Valentine's day or
(b)Would rather have a husband and wife sweet to one another through out the year and not care for Valentine's day to go out and show love to their spouse?

Even though some couples can have the best of both worlds,have a sweet great spouse through out the year and still have to get the Valentine Day's special treat, majority of us settled for 'B' .What is your take on this?
